Real American Heroes (It only shoots t-shirts!)

You’ve probably already seen this pandering, disgusting, heartless, piece of shite “tribute” the GOP trotted out for the last night of their Convention.

“And kill us they did.”  Are you kidding me?!?  Assholes.

I saw the video online, last night, but as I thought about it this morning I realized something interesting.  Maybe you had the same thought I did:  ’What’s missing?’  I’ll show you.

RNC re-cap, by Rafa

Our friend, Rafa, put together a tasty video to explore some of the undercurrents of the Republican National Convention, and what the GOP really represents for America.

Nice work, brother!

[Sorry about the post/delete/re-post.  Turns out that Google Chrome and WordPress don’t get along very well.]

It’s OK - I’m a chauffeur!

It seems that lately you can’t run a Google on the intervictrolagraph without hearing about Sarah Palin’s “EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE!!!”  and her many, many…. many qualifications to be America’s Numero Deuce-o.  Who knew?  And, you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a reference to “John McCain was a POW with oodles and oodles of military experience!”, either.

Now, I could take the low road and make some snide comments about, well… everything the McCain campaign stands for and tells us, frankly.  But here’s all you need to know:  McCain and Palin are Republicans.

There you have it.  Executive experience, state-level “commander-in-chief” experience, “family values”, foreign policy experience, “reform” experience, military “service”, “gut checks”, energy experience - I could go on and on.  But there it is - wrapped up in a flag with a side of Republican bootstraps and USA! lapel pins.  How’s that been working out for you, America?

But hey - don’t listen to me.  Don’t listen to the hundreds of millions of Americans who are on their knees, begging for a new direction and a chance - just a chance - to catch even a quick glimpse of the Amerian Dream.  Never mind the seniors who stand to lose everything - if they haven’t already - in a fiery crash at the corner of Main St. and Wall Street, after a lifetime of service.  Don’t worry about the children, the poor, the underemployed who keep hearing how great this nation is but aren’t invited to the table.  Forget about the hard-working knuckleheads who slave away every day, then scan the credits for their name and wonder why it’s not there.

No, you just sit back and feel good.  Don’t be one of the whiners.  Just put on your “American hat” and let Johnny One Note and Miss Mooseburger take care of everything.  They’ve got the experience and, after all, they’re Republicans.  That still means something today… right?

It means something to me.

Obama / Biden 2008!!!

I watched most of the DNC speeches online, after the fact, but god damn!  I’m so glad I caught Obama live tonight.
